I haven't checked in since August 29th, that just shows how busy I am, phew!
I am currently working on a new hat pattern involving acorns, bobbles and reverse stockinette. I will be turning it over to my test knitter in the next couple of days and should have it ready to go out soon.
I hope you are all knitting up a storm and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. It has been so nice here in Reno that we may be lulled into a false sense of weather security.

Fall is in the air and I am so happy! It is my favorite season of the year and it makes me think of warm things. I am working on a new pattern for a great sloucy hat/neck warmer thing with fingerless mitts! I am having a blast and should be able to get it to my test knitter in the next week! Yeah!
Here is a little taste and oh yea my painting is done beaaauuuutifuuullll!! I am thrilled and have moved my 2 Askew Designs office to a new space in my newly painted house. I am expecting great inspiration from the nice fresh space!

Phew I am tooooo busy trying to keep up with all the ideas, the work @ work and just life in general! I am having the interior of my house painted and I am so excited to get it finished, but what a mess!! They started this morning and some of my knitting is buried under the mess, HORRORS! Luckily I have some stashed in my travel trailer where I am at this moment away from the frey inside.
I hope you know where your knitting is and can get to it. So I will sign off for now and hopefully be back to my camera, knitting and all other things normal soon.

Summertime knitting?? I never stop knitting, never ever!! Allison doesn't seem to either and even with a wonky hand I have been knitting about 20 minutes a day; what an obsession! I hope you all are knitting still, socks, scarves, oh yea how about mittens?? I am working on a mitten pattern for small knitted things and hope to have it ready in about 6 weeks (please don't hold your breath:). Well at last I have 2 more patterns up and ready for your knitting pleasure. I have been gone for quite awhile and I apologize, it won't happen again.
You can see them off to the left, my Picot Lace Scarf and my Picot Ribbed Socks. I learned a picot cast on and cast off for these and have been playing around with it ever since. I LOVE to learn new techniques, as it really boosts my creativity level.
Allison is working on some really cool stuff too and should have them ready to go real soon. I would also, like to thank Wooly Notions for adding 2 Askew Designs to their shop. It is a great little shop in Greaegle California, about an hour or so away from Reno. Allison has been teaching classes there and having a blast.

Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had the best holiday ever! I know that my family did; as we got to go see our son, Chris, march in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California on New Years day! It was a blast and since we took our travel trailer; there was knitting, and more knitting! What more can you ask for?? At any rate, I worked on socks, socks and more socks.
The blue socks and WIP's are going to be a new pattern soon (I hope) of course I have to get the scarves written too! The ones on the left are my Holiday socks and are just a 2 X 2 rib all the way; the yarn just wanted to do that. At any rate, we will still be blogging on our other blog http://2askewdesigns.blogspot.com too, and we will keep you posted in both places.

At last I have a second to sit down and do an update for you all. Things of course are very hectic for everyone with the holidays, but I wanted to show you what's coming soon!
I have been working on a new scarf pattern that focuses on the short scarf look that is really hot right now. I should have this ready soon. Stay tuned! In the meantime I wish everyone a terrific holiday season filled with knitting, knitting, and more knitting! Jeanne :)

2 Askew Designs came about just like the knit stitch, two yarns holding each other together!
Allison and Jeanne began as knitting pals and they just had so much in common that their relationship just blossomed into 2 friends holding each other together. The natural progression was obvious and hence 2 Askew Designs was born. Their mutual desire to bring knitters a line of easy to understand, fun patterns to knit is continually evolving and who knows what the pair will think up next!
